Blooket Quizzes

Online quizzes are one of my favourite ways to build student engagement and to gather formative assessment.

I was making Kahoot quizzes, and still use them now and then. Blooket has a similar format, but has two major innovations:

1. Random opportunities for students to obtain points from others - so all the students have the opportunity of “winning”. This increases motivation for the majority of students.
2. The game is self-paced each student is actually responding to a different question - again increasing motivation for those students who need a little more time - and decreasing the tendency for students to call out the answer.
